About Austin GlobeTrekker

Austin GlobeTrekker
JCooke - ACL Festival 2009 - Austin, TX USA

Austin GlobeTrekker is all about sharing TRAVEL stories, photos, and experiences from my hometown (Austin, TX) and trekking around the globe. My name is Jason Cooke, my friends call me JCooke, or just plain Cookie. I’m a Taurus. I like long walks…

Basically, I’m a traveler, attempting to be an amateur photographer, while pretending to be a journalist; BUT… I’m really just a husband, father, fun-loving, sarcastic, cycling fan, who LOVES Austin, TX… and the world, so I’ve decided to blog about it.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times… TRAVEL is the catalyst for my non-scholastic “Theory of a Better Life”. To put it simply – TRAVEL makes me HAPPY. Whether it’s around town, or around the world… being happy just makes life MUCH better.

MISSION: Create an active, open, non-judgmental and vibrant community where my friends, friends of friends, (and even cool strangers) can share TRAVEL stories, photos and experiences with one another. In the process… hopefully discover new places, cultures, talk about food and beverages (preferably beer!), and meet new friends from around the world.

Join the Conversation!
